Where I live, the time zone is equivalent to that of Japan's. We have several timezones & 2 hours separation between Sydney & Perth. They're 3284km apart by plane. Everybody in rural Australia owns a car or motorcycle. I have both but no longer ride. Hopefully, I can get that licence back again. Almost nobody who has a motorcycle has a scooter. They're common in the major cities & especially amongst Asian background commuters. The distances we ride can be hundreds of kilometres. Those scooter bikes are impractical other than going to & fro from home to work. I live in a state called New South Wales, but Broken Hill is almost at the border of South Australia. Sydney, the capital of NSW, is 1143km away, Melbourne, the capital of Victoria is 846km & Adelaide, the capital of SA, is 517km away.
