This type of service animal has to be life changing for people. That’s amazing.
I love how she even glanced over her shoulder just to doublecheck that it actually wasn't a real person. Such a good girl.
schizophrenia gotta be scary as hell when you're alone
“yo Luna you see that shit?” “nah dawg you trippin”
I never knew dogs were trained to help with schizophrenia. Truly amazing and so happy for you for having her ❤️🥰
This probably gives this man so much more comfort and relief. I can only imagine how scary having that disease can be. I hope more people get help like this
First I would like to say thank you for having the courage to share such a vulnerable side of mental disorder. I too have been diagnosed with schizophrenia due to a drug psychosis. When my mind had been bent so far I could not trust my own instinct I learned to pay attention to the reaction of the animals around me that way I knew if it was real or not thank you for sharing❤
Love that Luna was 99% confident that there was nobody there, but she checked anyways just to make sure she wasn't missing anything 🥹
I think this is an absolutely amazing way to use a service dog!! Not only is it completely helpful to the owner but they get the comfort of a dog and a friend who will never ever judge them
The idea of the dog greeting a person and recording yourself is so great to help out if your hallucinations they are real or not.
Awww what a sweet wonderful dog! And she calmly reassures you with no judgement. Unconditional love. So happy you found this true friend.
This just opened my eyes and mind to exactly how service animals can genuinely serve. I never imagined the ways they could help. This is very cool.
How fantastic is that having someone who will never judge you right there to tell you that with something is real or not all the time just to reassure you what a brilliant dog
Former psych nurse here. That is a great dog and I can understand how helpful that would be. A lot of people don’t understand that many schizophrenic people do know that they have hallucinations but can’t necessarily distinguish between reality and a hallucination. Remarkable how helpful a well trained service animal can be.
This is so cool. Bless the puppers and people who figured this aid out.
Awwwww. Luna is the best girl. So patient, sitting there like "No, dad. No one's there. It's fine." Such a good little girl.
The dog gave a quick glance just to make sure no one was there. Smart puppy.
I can't imagine how scary it would be to suffer hallucinations and not know if they're real or not. Glad he has a good doggo to help out.
