@marcelarice3025

I've been watching decluttering videos for years. You are the first person who mentioned "pull your loves first." Great idea.

@Jennifer-nz2ss

I downsized to a 1bdrm apt and will NEVER GO BACK!!! Love it. I just don't buy all that stuff I used to buy. I really never "needed" it anyway. I kept the things I love and I do buy something if I really want it. But, never going back to 2 closets of clothes. So many kitchen gadgets I need another place to keep them. An overflowing garage and craft room. Knick knacks EVERYWHERE!!! Nope, I'm very happy and I can find what I need and I know where to go look for it! Priceless!!😊

@TheLifeTidy

"But if you don't have a rolling rack....like a normal person..." 🤣🤣😊 I really enjoy your videos!

@el0invOid

I clicked on this video reluctantly after a streak of watching similar videos. I wasn't expecting much but your approach really is different than everything I've heard before! It feels so logical to start with picking out the things you like the most. I've been looking through tons of style inspo to figure out what I like, but it seems best to start with choosing what you gravitate towards in your own closet.

@teck1a

I pray this year is a good year for you and brings you lots of peace.

@bcvc333

I love to declutter! 🖤 I usually try everything on and have a runway show (and videotape myself) then I get rid of stuff I don’t like anymore. 😆

@SweetSourMiss

Listening to this while sitting on the floor in my closet about to cry I have SO MUCH! I think I’m a clothed hoarder. Ugh! I want to get rid of ALL OF IT!

@joelleaittama1416

I love “pulling the loves,” because yes you can better see a theme in your wardrobe. I have a closet that has been collecting for twenty years, and I am ready to thin it out!

@suzanschneider6163

Great that you start from a place of love/positive stance! May 2025 be a healing, nurturing year for you and your family.

@lisanester3338

I love this idea. I try to purge my clothes at least once a year and if I haven’t worn it in awhile out it goes….yikes! Not a foolproof method. This seems like a more gentle approach that makes sense to my mind. Thanks Em😊

@SapioPsyche

OMG, such a different approach, so perfect. It's not letting go, it's picking. I love it. It's like I'm 'shopping' for my own clothes, going through what I'd buy again basically. I own so many 'good' clothes that 'fit' fine and that I 'might' one day want to wear. But then there are the clothes I love, that I 'know' I will wear again, that I 'choose' over and over again. I have so many clothes, I have 2 dressers and 2 closets full AND most of the clothes I wear are out on surfaces since I can't put them away (no place in drawers or closets!). I've struggled with this since every piece is 'good' and 'fits' and is 'nice - but now I will have bags of clothing I do not anticipate wearing soon in the bottom of my closet, and I'll have space for those I do wear and love. And hopefully someday, 4 wks, 4 months, whenever, I'll go through the other clothes and feel comfortable getting rid of them since I've lived without them for a while. How long we wait might be different for each of us depending on our comfort level letting go. Thanks so much!!! Please post more outside the box thinking since everything else out there is the same thing over and over again rebranded.

@silviasauc8570

Love it. I remember the terrible sadness you experience last year. Sending love.

@karenberube8739

Praying for a better year.

@alyssarosengard6674

I love the explanations you give. Being stylish isn’t easy sometimes. I did as you suggested and started a Pinterest board. I like this thought process as you declutter. It helps me so much. My hubby and I have been minimalists for about 7 years for physical and mental health but I like being fashionable and kind of lost that in the process of downsizing. You’ve been really guiding my process in getting it back. I’m plus sized and 54 yrs old so I feel like it can be more complicated. I don’t have to look frumpy. I can be a rocker chick.

@TippyPuddles

If you pull the things you love and wear most, place them on the bed next to each other, you will instantly see your style and colors that are you. You will also see what you have and need to add. I always pull everything out of my closet and only put back the things I love and ware. It works great. When I change out seasons, I store everything except those items I know are definitely going or worn out. I decide on what I want when the new season comes around. This saves decision fatigue.

@jlynd5526

I do what I call the backwards hanger method. I turn all my clothing on my hangers backwards and when I wear the clothing piece the hanger gets turned the right way. Whatever is still facing backwards at the end of the season is then discarded. I figure 3 months is plenty of time to let me know what I love and don’t love. Thanks for this method, I’m going to give it a try.❤

@allyirvine7537

Well this is a new idea and a good one! So much easier to declutter from a place of love, as you say. I’m going to try it myself. Somehow my things have expanded into the closet of my guest room and I’m well on the way to needing a 3rd bedroom closet. Something has to give! Xx

@hana.iridiani

I love how authentic you are! And this method is amazing. Thanks so much❤

@coastalsands

You are the "key" to my locked mind! This reversal mentality is genius to me, totally doing this method with a 2 month detoxing.

@clemmytinelyday6536

Lol i agree wirh store the things you are not using. But ive learned to keep. I had things in my parents garage for 10 years, and then i started wearing most of it.
