@MrJeffyTheMenace

As a singaporean, this sounds pretty accurate to smth thay our prison may serve

@Derlei

you are so right about the taste of Singapore prison food. as a Singaporean who has a few friends who done prison time for few years, the feedback about prison food is that they have no taste and not oily. I have one friend who just released from prison, had a difficult time adjusting to food outside especially fast food. His complain, food outside of prison is too oily and salty and a few month he often get stomachache from eating outside food

@BagPiperGuy3211

Woah woah woah.... "Plain white rice"

You added water and salt to that john. Where's the authenticity? 😂

@destroyoni

You should do military food from around the world !

@YumingSu-pf1bj

Singaporean prison is HARD, I recommend watching the maximum security series to learn more

@benjamintan9996

There’s a pretty good channel news Asia video about the inmates cooking food in Changi prison, and they do offer some variety other than white rice like stir fried noodles although admittedly it’s bad as the inmates themselves say😂

@shadowtrooper262

From what I saw in my local prison documentaries, the food they served are usually quite watery and tasteless according to the prisoners. The most of what I can recall was the prison version of their mee goreng I think.

@caretakercat7176

You should try do Indonesian next.. A block of rice, a clear vegetable soup, a fried salted-fish or fried tofu and tempeh, and a glass of water.

@CorruptedVoid-oj8pw

Cutting cabbage with a Yu-Gi-Oh card is absolutely crazy.

@zalibecquerel3463

So many of these meals have rice, maybe it's time to buy a rice cooker. (Not a good one obviously, the cheapest, nastiest one you can find. IF you find one in the street, the better)

@hilo-pb6og

Fun fact,in Singapore drug dealing is punishable by death

@Noidcon

Man that just looks like something I’d eat normally

@wumao6797

I guess they downgraded the standard. Heard from an old timer that served over 5 years in Changi prison in the 70s was for meat its steamed or deep fried fish/chicken or curry chicken. 1 slice of papaya, or watermelon and for vegi it was water spinach or choy sum and 1 glass of plain water.

@matthewtan961

FINALLY, I WAS WAITING FOR THIS

@jordangoh-j3n

as a singaporean prisoner, i approve of this video

@jajajajaja268

As a Singaporean, I disagree that the prison is strict. I think other countries are too kind to the criminals.

@yasmin3528

as a singaporean student, this also looks like the school-catered food they give us during our camps

@jiaweichew3370

Well, in Singapore the prison system is quite spartan but I think it’s far better than a US prison since it fosters rehabilitation and is more successful since its state managed not corporate run (yes, a huge chunk of US prisons are run for profit by prison companies).

@aravioli4203

In Singaporean prisons there are no beds and pillows. Just a straw mat with 2 towels.

@XavierMackyleWidjaja

In Singapore's prison you can make shirts or something to get some money and you can by snacks with the money
