Corms are great to plant! But I remember seeing somewhere that they aren’t just new plants to start, but the mother plants nutrient reserves? So maybe leaving them alone could help?

@dewantoroo

Corms aren't just for propagation. Alocasia also use those corms for energy reservation. If you separate all of them from the mother plant, the mother plant most likely going to go on dormancy. The best time to separate these "babies" from the mother plant is when they start to sprout out a new leaf. So you know the mother plant doesn't really need them for energy back up anymore. The chance of you getting your mother plant to maturity is so slim if you keep doing this.

I love your humor 😂😂😂🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

@candied.crabapples

This is a great excuse for another cabinet to serve as a maternity ward! 😅💗

@hesaaah3805

Your shorts are everything! 😁 Funny & educational

@lousielouise8716

Are you sure it was dead? Alocasia go dormant… Check the roots before you toss a bald or balding alocasia. I know this is a short hyper edited vid, so we don’t see everything, but it might not have been dead. 😅

@chuongnguyen2650

I just let my frydeks keep their corms until they sprout, just so then I can keep her healthy :)

@BraysenHesse1

Im 12 and i love plants so much. I just got a grant to even get a garden at my school! My family says i have to many plants... I think i still need more.

@sinthorana2814

Lol, and then there's me, who murdered every alocasia ive ever owned

@ArkinAtWorkPlants

I have no idea why but why are corms so satisfying to pluck off 😌

@Hans69Wurst

I heared plants try to reproduce as soon as they feel that they are dying. So if a baby try’s to reproduce before trying to get bigger, it’s a sign of stress and something’s not right for the plant to live, at least now.

@dontatmefam

I love the pregnancy talk in this video 😂😂😂😂😂😂

@KayBX

I’ve never had any of mine go dormant yet, however my first Alocasia Amazonica had fungal surely after me, receiving her in the mail and I completely chopped her back and then she contracted white mould somehow so I chopped her back even further and put her in spring. She is now my mums plant 😅.

I do have some of her babies growing in pon 😊

@marcusclentscale7139

I’m 8 I love my plants

@dariajarzab3804

So true 😅

@SandraIthier-gj7cw

That's the circle of life!!! 😂😂😂😂😂👍💚🧚💐💐💐

@valeriecaputo1672

Is a circle that never endsss❤😂😂😂

@lazyletters

I just had a plant up and lose all its leaves and dry up. When I emptied out the soil there were 6 little corns just under the soil. I've planted them out and waiting to see what happens.

@Logan-p7k

I’m getting an alocasia soon and I’m so excited to start growing corms from it!!!
