Yeah…so I’m a licenced cosmetologist in the state of Virginia. And this “split end trimmer” is a scam. If you have pieces of hair that are shorter than the hair you put into the device it will cut that too. They are actually pretty damaging, and it’s better to just go get a haircut.

@MafaldaSilva-p4b

hairdresser here: it also makes your hair weaker. using a good hair mask and trimming your hair every 3 months does a better job

@Dungeonsynthenjoyer

Hey guys, just a quick heads up! This can actually rip pieces of your hair out.

@Imbored2much

"This machine doesn't have a brain" got me laughing 😂😂

@habebaomar393

The sound, blood sweat and tears 😩🙏

@saint-freya

Then your split ends will just continue getting worse and worse and you'll end up losing strands. If your hair is this damaged you better focus on repairing it.

@crescentblueee

My cousin used this on me because she wanted to “practice” on my hair. Shes not a hairdresser or an aspiring one. I just have thick hair and no one else would let her experiment on them. Never letting her touch my hair again 😭😭

That’s why I straighten my hair first and then split end. Separately I trim my curls in its natural state whilst twisted, braided or twaided for healthy curls and opt for professional trims when straight for even and healthy looking hair. The tool makes my hair much smoother and I only straighten no more than three times a year so it doesn’t take of much hair after use.

@lifeoftiti-y8g

gurly we need a long form video

@scottwebster4255

gotta straighten ur hair first... it only cuts a a mm of the tip of any strand, so if ur hair is long but with broken hairs that are shorter than ur lenght... it will cut it... its a great machine...

@ContarbolateContarbolate-jx8gt

I love these videos but I’m patiently waiting for one without the same sound 😭

@Zenya_yo

“ this machine doesn’t have a brain” 👁️👄👁️ bro… ITS A ROBOT

@allyc9481

@phillipalettman2091

I'm a licensed cosmetologist. All you have to do is use common sense when using it, and it will work just fine🤷🏽‍♀️. I LOVE Mine! I don't have much split ends anyway. My hair is extremely healthy.

@samanthaschultz6082

Just going to say, i use this very one (a little less than recommended) my hair has grown and is incredibly soft. I have a lot of friends that are hair dressers and of course anyone that does hair for a living is not going to "like" this tool. They loose business. I see so many "stylist's" negative comments, whom i suspect never even used the tool. I am telling you it works well, yes just my opinion. Ive been using it and my hair has never been softer. Also the product specifically says to make sure hair is "straightened" prior to use (i suspect that is to avoid the "issue" w/curly/wavy/frizzy hair. )

@lalili9023

If u know, u will know that cutting the end is actually what ckeeps u from getting the split ends

@ArdellBVampirella

One of my friends used these regularly but her hair is already super frizzy and overprocessed so the trimmer really just makes it worse
