Tiktokers: MT kids are so annoying and stupid

Also tiktokers: use musical theatre songs without even knowing where they came from

@chloearendt9618

its really annoying because these people are calling us annoying but they're using the very things that make us annoying.

@AliciaF994

Unpopular opinion : i don't exactly hated that some musical songs are in TikTok, but what pissed me off is that they didn't exactly give credit to the owner and disrespecting it.

@theotheoggg

No one is talking about how kids are lip syncing and dancing to songs from shows about murder, drugs, sexual harassment, depression, and suicide?

@smelly9997

It hurts me that these people are the same people who think musicals are weird but they don't realise that the songs they're using are musical songs

@dog-jn3wp

Catchy song: *exists *
TikTok: Hippity hoppity you are now my property

@richelann336

i find it hilarious how they use “all you wanna do” to show off their new, better partners when the song literally talks about years of sexual abuse 🥵 “tall, large, henry the viii” ain’t the best comparison to ur new boo HAHSHA

@colzarimoon8058

Katherine Howard: Sings about her being used as a child by phedophiles and is beheaded at a young age.

Almost all the tik tokers: What a nice song about my great relationship.

@muscalchars9892

They DO realize Smartphone Hour is about a guy trying to KILL himself right??

@khiarabear

big fun exists

Tiktokers:this is about mean girls

Heathers: ..it’s about us getting high and wasted..

@queenofmoons720

Disappointed that
Heathers: no one got shot by a horny psychopath
Six: no one got beheaded
Hamilton:no one founded a country
Dear even Hansen: no one sent emails to and as their dead friend
Be more chill: no on committed arson and swallowed a supercomputer
Beetlejuice: no one got in a car accident an got transported to an alternate reality

@jane-dm8cc

Catherine Howard did not die to be disrespected like that
 (Alexander Hamilton as well)

@addien4593

everyone on tik tok: makes fun of theatre kids
also them: uses theatre song

@not_solstaartz_0ne225

Remember when they were calling us annoying and weird? Now we’re laughing at them now

@lemons4lizzy

My friend: Shut up Heather
Me: Sorry Heather
My friend: So you've seen the tik toks too?
Me: I don't have Tik Tok anymore
My friend: Well, obviously you don't know the song then.
Me: ....
Also me: Showing up here took some guts, time to rip them out

@hallielalalala

Little do these TikTokers know that the song 'Sincerely, Me', is actually about two boys faking emails from a boy, named Connor, who had committed suicide, just to supposedly prove that they were really good friends, after they found a letter in Connor's jacket pocket that was addressed to Evan, (one of the boys who was faking the emails), that Evan actually had to write to himself because of his depression and anxiety.

@arwyn7382

I kinda hate non musical theatre people taking songs completely out of context

@Hailoow

Excuse me, did those Tik Tok kids know the context of All You Wanna Do?!

@BubbleLolli

And I just know that half of these people don’t even know these musicals exist

@guard3745

What gets me most is some of these people “breaking character” at the end of their little skits and laughing, so basically, they’re both using the musical (often as a trend to get likes and follows) and making fun of it at the same time. If you’re gonna do something sis, go all the away, don’t stop and laugh so you can’t be ridiculed for being part of a cringe trend because “obviously” you think it’s cringey too. People trynna have their cake and eat it too.
