Great to see Gordon Hopwood again! If he's still around, please get in touch with me, Frank Rossiter. I was born in Liverpool but have spent most of my life in America. I came back to Toxteth, Liverpool in the early 70's to do a little street ministry. One day, some scalawags robbed music instruments from a school and I bought them back from the youth before they destroyed them, intending to give them back to the school when it opened. Police showed up at my door to arrest me for purchasing stolen goods. I pleaded with them to call my friend, Gordon Hopwood to vouch for my integrity. Gordon rescued me. Yes, I too miss the old Liverpool because of my growing up there, but I also like how beautiful it has become, especially the town center and dock area.

My Dad was a docker. His nickname was "the gnome" - he was a bit on the small side and was known for saying "Jeez, I wish it was time for goin`home". His best mate was "Batman" because everywhere he went there was "Robin".
