@FenrirStriker

not gonna lie I would love a full deck tech / list for it

@Dgw_Creations

I would be interested in seeing more. Quite intriguing commander and am pondering it as well

@jemm113

He directly synergizes with both of the new crystals in his colors, too! And I agree with focusing on the lifegain strategy and mill payoffs rather than trying to shove in too many mill cards.

Another bonus is that main set Y’shtola directly synergizes with Hopes end step trigger AND the soul sisters strategy by giving you a creature blink AND a second end step for the conjurer’s closet effects and Hope himself to double up!

@rodroinrainbows9929

We have to celebrate Hope isn't part of the Esper gang, because he and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, would be fucking terrible to deal with.

@Kogawalker

Great video. I like the focus not being on the mill plan. I have the variants of the soul sisters creatures, a bunch of hare apparent and aetherflux reservoir in my build. Looking at having the wind crystal in there for evasion to kill through damage and life gain triggers for hope. I really like that infinite loop. With two 5 mana creatures it doesn’t feel so dirty lol

@Pennywise-nx4jz

You need to make a decklist for it, but you'll definitely need to have every protection item in the game. Shroud, hexproof, indestructible, people will hate this commander out of the game every single time

@redwood013

I finally came to this exact conclusion. I originally tried to build a budget voltron mill with Hope (it sounded cool on paper...) but it did not perform how i wanted. so im going to rebuild to focus life gain, get rid of mill, have more control, etc. Such a solid and fun commander!

@possumverde

The Illusion of Grandeur/Stiltzkin Moogle Merchant combo might fit the theme. The moogle is a one drop lifelink, the Grandeur gains you 20 life, and you can give it to an opponent while keeping the 20 life and eventually causing them to lose 20.

@sorcdk2880

That combo will make you loss. None of those 2 parts of the trigger cycle is optional, and Hope's trigger is in the end step, which it is not going to get to and trigger without stopping the draw<->life gain trigger cycle.

@codemonkies

I was honestly thinking is build a deck around making smaller lifelink creatures evasive; the commander being a legendary with only 2 power and a cmc of 2 means it's fairly easy to make him evasive, and more evasive lifelink creatures will gradually boost the damage dealt, life gained, and cards millled each and every turn; more of a lifegain/attacking deck, but consistent mill might be a nice backup

@MirridonOnslaught

Hope is my new stax commander. ❤
Win by mill or lifegain, meanwhile your opponents cant untap or play anything as you passively gain life and mill.

@booberry8007

'Illusions of grandeur' becomes a mill 20 which is kinda cool. Flicker options could make for some fun plays as well.

@bryanransom1450

Im excited to build around this card. Cant wait to finish brewing

@MarioJPC

Other way is a couple of Voltron pieces, with auras that protect and make Hope unblockable, that seems an option too. In fact there aren aura in this colors that draws too.

@DeezCount

Another fun card to stick into Hope is Minwu. Acquire enough soul sisters (all of them are clerics), play Minwu, generate a token or two, and watch the confusion on your opponents' faces as they're suddenly facing a beatdown from a bunch of very swole nerds.

@Nexieee

I would also want to see a full decklist around him as commander. For the time beeing he will be my alternate wincon in my Will, scion of peace lifegain deck.

@mattieewhooo

Already have my build list cards on the way for this deck!

@drsherifff

You will have to win if you start the Shabraz/Drogskol loop

@jayceschiess1359

I would love to see a deck tech for him in all formats. I enjoy playing mill and saw him and wanted to come up with a fun deck.

@IPutThePowerInRangers

Hope is my most anticipated commander of this set
