Yesterday, I reflected on the phone call that changed everything — being chosen by AECOM (the global infrastructure company responsible for rebuilding the World Trade Center) to create art for their new office space. Today, I’m revisiting the second piece from that project: a framed acrylic canvas artwork that brought the story full circle.

This piece complements the mural by exploring the same complex themes of Tjukurpa — the creation period when ancestral beings shaped the world and forged the relationships between people, plants, animals, and the land. It represents the past, present, and future — all existing at the same time.

At the time, I could never have imagined how this opportunity would shape my path. Revisiting this video now reminds me of how deeply grateful I am to the people who put their trust in me, giving me the chance to share my culture and passion on such a meaningful scale.

This project continues to hold a special place in my heart — not just as an artist but as a storyteller. It reminds me of the power art has to connect people, honour traditions, and share knowledge that transcends generations.

To everyone who has followed this journey, whether from the early days or more recently: thank you. Your support means the world, and it’s because of you that I get to keep doing what I love.
