On the eastern edge of Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture, in a mountainous cul-de-sac, there is the Kanaya village, known as the "village of cherry blossoms and yuzu." The average age is 76, and it is a "marginal village" with only eight households remaining. Through a year in the lives of the elderly people living in Kanaya village, this program looks at the reality of depopulation and the wealth that has been accumulated there.
