Training Course "Digital Inclusivity Drive: Bridging the Gap for Youth Workers"

In an age where digitalisation dominates every aspect of life, there remains a glaring disparity in access and skills. The Digital Inclusivity Drive addresses this by focusing on youth workers, individuals with the ability to influence and mentor large numbers of youth. This project was based on the belief that inclusion in the digital age is not only about access to technology, but also about the ability to use it in a way that respects and understands diversity, equity and the needs of marginalised communities.
Objectivesof the project were:
To improve digital literacy with an inclusive lens: Provide training that introduces youth workers to digital tools and platforms, emphasising their use in inclusive and diverse settings.
To raise awareness of the digital inclusion divide: Through discussions, workshops and real-life case studies, highlight the disparities in digital access and literacy, especially among marginalised communities. By bringing these issues to the forefront, youth workers become better equipped to address and counteract them in their daily work.
To develop inclusive digital resources: Work with participants to create a repository of digital resources that specifically address the needs of diverse and underserved populations. This could include anything from multilingual digital guides to software that's tailored to people with specific needs.
-To foster a network of digital inclusion champions: Create an online community platform where youth workers from across Europe can collaborate, share insights and support each other in their journey to promote digital inclusion.
