When God Doesn't Take the Pain Away

I’ve been asked how I healed from childhood trauma and the truth is, I’m still healing. I haven’t “arrived,” and maybe I never fully will this side of Heaven. But what I’ve learned is this: God doesn’t wait for us to be whole to walk with us. He meets us in the wound.

In this episode, I open up about what it looks like to follow Jesus while still bleeding. I talk about the thorn in my side, how God’s word taught me to lament, and the power of being honest with God when life still hurts. If you’ve ever felt like you had to be “over it” to be used by God, I pray this reminds you: you don’t have to be healed to be held. God sees you, He’s with you, and He will get the glory, even through your thorn.
