tohoku is the northern region of japan. it’s only an hour away by shinkansen from tokyo to the nearest prefecture! 🗾🚄

i absolutely recommend visiting if you want a less touristy feel but still want to experience dramatic landscapes, history-rich sites, and delicious local food ✨
