Carlos Hathcock (1942-1999) was a legendary U.S. Marine Corps sniper who served during the Vietnam War. Known by his nickname "White Feather" for the white feather he wore in his hat, Hathcock is credited with 93 confirmed kills, though his actual total was likely much higher. He's famous for several extraordinary missions, including a four-day crawl through enemy territory to eliminate a high-value target and his duel with a skilled North Vietnamese sniper known as "Cobra." Hathcock pioneered many modern sniping techniques and later became an instructor, helping establish the Marine Corps Scout Sniper School. He's considered one of the greatest military snipers in history and authored several books about his experiences.
