This $200 Camcorder Shoots Like a Cinema Camera

Today I am doing a review of the Sony NEX VG10 in 2025. This handycam was released 15 years ago, but how good is it today? We will look at the image quality, if you can use this camcorder for a vlog, i will show you cinematic sample footage with a video test i did. It is not a cinema camera, but it can shoot cinematic videos and has manual settings. Because it has interchangeable lenses, you can also put a fisheye lens on here, or a prime lens for background blur. So you can get that professional video camera effect.

I will show you footage shot on this sony handycam, and even though it doesn't shoot in 4k and it might not have the best quality, the image can still look very nice. This was before sony had the cinema line. Can this still be a good camera for beginners with a low budget of 200 dollars in 2025? Or are there better cheap alternatives as a youtube camera for filmmaking?
