NYCHA Resident Turned First-Time Homebuyer: The Charline Ogbeni Story

We went to St. Albans, Queens to meet Charline Ogbeni - a NYCHA resident turned first-time homebuyer, she just moved from Queensbridge Houses into a newly-renovated house that she purchased with her husband Peter thru the Small Homes Rehab-NYCHA Program - a collaboration between us, New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), Fund for Public Housing and non-profit developers like Habitat for Humanity NYC.

Through the program, we’re breathing new life into small homes, stabilizing their surrounding communities and creating more paths to affordable homeownership.
